And a control room is built!

Here's the new waste pipe for rainwater on the roof. Enough curves in that thing?

Here's some snaps from a visit / site inspection by Minna Choi of Magik Magik Orchestra.

And then.... snow. In October. Whatever, we didn't need to seal the outside of the building or anything. Wait a second.

 3/4 MDF over the top
Here's a picture of the crawlspace left for the HVAC system. I'm glad we tore the old one out.

A control room begins!

Due to the buildings being old we had to find a centerline that would work. The pipes were laid down based on the center of the back wall, which of course was two inches away from the center of the building. The pencil line should have gone right between those two pipes. However it's more than close enough for government work.
And here's what's coming along on the second floor

This will be the office/desk space
 and here's the bedroom

And we have a control room floor!!

Here's some pictures of the AC duct work. This bend heads into the control room
And this one goes straight down for the live room
Here's a shot of the apartment. Plumbing is mostly roughed in, hvac ducts are in place, the walls are up. Two windows and a sliding door need to be installed and then we're in business. Electrician should be coming in next week. With any luck we'll have four separate crews on site next week: one framing the control room, one putting in the live room floor, one replacing the siding and one roughing in the electrical upstairs. Crazy, crazy times.

All the pvc pipes that will run under the control room floor got laid out yesterday and today. The big wood box is going to the be cable trough for underneath the console. Tomorrow we pour the concrete, and monday we start framing the control room!

And on the second floor the windows are getting finished and the pluming got roughed in.  The roofs are all finished now but we need to seal up the north side of the building and then replace the siding.

So this week both the HVAC and roofing crews suddenly reappeared. The studio framing guys were supposed to come up monday the 10th but it's looking like they won't be here until the 24th, right after AES. C'est la vie, the place is still moving and that's all I can really hope for.

The second floor is flying along. All the walls are framed out and the HVAC is almost completely installed.

Here's a view into what will one day be a bathroom.
